Bio
Nova Blue first formed in Portland Oregon when former drummer (Erik Selliken) and guitarist (Erik Matthews) of Rhythm Jones met Pamela Way (former singer of Kalamity Jam). All three of them were interested in analog recording, and their fate was set after their first recording project. They decided to move to Venice, California and began playing in most of the clubs throughout Los Angeles.
Feeling disappointed with the LA scene they opened their own very successful speakeasy/live recording studio called "Studio Blue". They were then joined by their bass player and long time friend Chris Caywood. After three unforgettable years they decided to lease their space out to Janes Addiction and opened another smaller recording studio where they focused on their own music and craft. They are now coming out of their creative cave and are excited to share their new music with everyone.
Their sound is a modern spin off of classic psychedelic folk rock. They are a fun band that doesn't take themselves too seriously but they seriously rock.
